
Southern Alliance for Theological Accreditation (SATA) was established as a joint initiative by few evangelical leaders in Madurai, South India. It is a registered charity and a 'not for profit' organisation.
SATA remits to oversee the theological education sector to ensure that educational and governance standards within the sector are maintained rigorously. SATA is committed to ensure in raising educational and governance standards of its partner institutions across the theological sector.
Expected remit was achieved in setting of standards by which organisations would be judged and accredited.
Today, SATA accredits organisations across the world, involved in the accreditation of theological institutes across India and internationally and has developed its unique indigenous identity and capability to work with a broad range of organisations from pioneer to the utmost level.
In India SATA expects that all SATA - accredited organizations can offer theological education of international standard to students who wish to continue their further studies in international universities around the world.
